20 Inch Big Blue Water Filter Cartridge: What to Look For Before You Buy!

Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to upgrade my water situation at home for a while now. You know, cleaner water, better taste, the whole nine yards. After doing a bunch of reading and asking around, I decided to go for a “Big Blue” water filter setup. And let me tell you, getting that 20-inch cartridge was a bit of an adventure.

First off, I started looking online, checking out different stores and comparing prices. I wasn’t really sure what I needed, so I wanted to make sure I was getting a good deal without spending too much.

I picked up a couple of housings – they call them “slim line” – and a wall-mount bracket to hold everything together. These housings were designed for 10 x 2.5 cartridges, which seemed perfect for sediment and carbon filters.

Installation Time

Now, I’m no plumber, but I’m pretty handy. I followed the instructions that came with the filter and the housings, and honestly, it wasn’t too bad. I got everything connected, mounted the bracket on the wall, and popped the cartridge in. Turned the water back on, and bam! We had filtered water.

I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, I’m impressed. The water tastes noticeably better, and I feel good knowing that we’re drinking cleaner stuff. I know I’ll need to change the cartridge eventually – apparently, they last anywhere from 6 to 12 months – but for now, I’m just enjoying my upgraded water. It’s the little things, you know?

I’ve heard that these filters can really make a difference, especially if you have well water or just want to be extra careful about what you’re drinking.
