Looking for a Prominent Dosing Pump? Check PDF(Catalogue of Reliable Dosing Pump)
Yesterday, I got a task, needed to figure out how to use a dosing pump. It’s not a big deal, but I did spend some time to get it done.
I searched some info about “prominent dosing pump catalogue” online. I found it’s a pump with good performance and safety.
Then I tried to learn how to set it up. First, I needed to enter the pump capacity and back pressure. It’s not that hard, just some basic parameters. I found a catalogue PDF, it mentioned that there are some variables like pump type, pulse spacing and concentration. I guess that those things will affect the final result.
And then, the catalogue mentioned that the stroke rate, I tried to understand it. The catalogue said something like “max. throughput l/h: pulse spacing l/pulse = 50.” It’s a little bit confusing, but I just followed the guide.
After that, I got to know this pump is controlled by a microprocessor and some short stroke solenoid things, and it has a diaphragm for metering. The catalogue said the metering is based on pulsating action and the quantity can be adjusted by stroke, sounds cool.
Detailed Operation
- Find the right pump type: I checked the catalogue and chose the one that fits my needs.
- Set the capacity and pressure: I just entered the numbers as required.
- Adjust the stroke rate: Followed the formula mentioned in the catalogue.
- Connect the power: I carefully connected the power supply to the pump.
- Test the pump: I ran a test to make sure the pump is working as expected.
I also found some other types of pumps like the Orlita MF, which seems can handle high pressure. Maybe I’ll try that next time. I saw some operating instructions for the product-specific Sigma, and also for other ProMinent motor-driven metering pumps. But the catalogue says they are only applicable together.
Anyway, I finally managed to get the dosing pump working. It was not as difficult as I thought. Hope my experience can help someone who is new to this.
