Best Cartridge Pool Filter? These Brands Keep Your Pool Sparkling Clean!
Okay, so, I’ve been thinking about upgrading my pool filter for a while now. My old one was just not cutting it anymore – the water wasn’t as clear as I wanted, and I was spending way too much time cleaning the darn thing. So, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a new cartridge pool filter. I mean, those things are supposed to be the best, right?
I started by doing some digging online. You know, just trying to figure out what the heck I was even looking for. There’s a ton of info out there, but it’s all so confusing! I did learn that cartridge filters are good at catching the small dirt and you don’t have to do too much with them. I like that! And there’s this stuff called Reemay that everyone seems to use, so I figured that was something to keep in mind.
After a couple of days, I narrowed it down to a few options. And let me tell you, it was tough. They all seemed pretty good! But in the end, I went with the Hayward C1200. I’d heard good things about Hayward, and this one just seemed like the best bang for my buck. It’s their Swim Clear Plus model, which sounded fancy, so I figured it must be good, haha. This was what a website called their best, so I figured they must know something.
Installation Time
Getting it installed was a bit of a pain. I thought I could do it myself, but nope. I ended up calling a pool guy to come help me out. Better safe than sorry, you know? He got it all hooked up in a few hours. I tried to follow along, but he lost me after a while.
Once it was up and running, I couldn’t wait to see the difference. And wow, was there a difference! The water was crystal clear. Like, seriously, I could see all the way to the bottom of the deep end. It was amazing!
- Water Clarity: Seriously, it’s like night and day. I’m so impressed.
- Maintenance: Haven’t had to do much so far. Just a quick rinse of the cartridge every now and then.
- Overall: Totally worth the money. I’m kicking myself for not doing this sooner!
So yeah, that’s my story about getting a new cartridge pool filter. It was a bit of a learning curve, but I’m so glad I did it. If you’re thinking about upgrading your filter, I definitely recommend going with a cartridge filter. And if you’re not sure which one to get, the Hayward C1200 is a solid choice. Trust me, your pool (and your sanity) will thank you!
Man, I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I’m still blown away by how well it works. I’m actually enjoying my pool again, instead of dreading the cleaning process. It’s the little things, you know? Now I just need to find some good pool floats and I’m all set for summer!
This filter made my pool much better.
