Best Price for Grundfos Dosing Pump? Find Deals Here Now!

Okay, so, I needed to get a dosing pump for my setup, and I decided to go with a Grundfos one. Honestly, they seem to be pretty popular, and I figured they’d be a good choice.

First, I spent some time just browsing around, looking at different models. There are quite a few of them. You can find all sorts of details online about their “SMART Digital S Pumps” and all that, but I wanted something a bit more straightforward, so I began with the DME Overview. You know, just to get a feel for what they’re all about. And their price list, effective from January 1st, 2023, is available. I guess I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off, and these details helped me make a more informed decision.

Then, I started digging into the specs. These pumps are supposedly pretty accurate, which is crucial for dosing, obviously. You don’t want to be adding too much or too little of whatever you’re working with. The materials they’re made of seemed decent enough, and they can handle a range of different chemicals, which is a plus. I noticed they had this “state-of-the-art drive technology” and “intelligent flow control” which sounded pretty fancy, and I guess it does contribute to their reliability.

Installation

Installation was… well, it wasn’t terrible. The instructions were kind of okay, but I’ve definitely seen better. I managed to get it hooked up without too much trouble, but it took a bit longer than I expected. It’s a good thing I’m somewhat handy; otherwise, I might have been in trouble. They had this option for a “duplex headed pump”, but I didn’t really need that for my application.

Operation

  • Once it was up and running, it was pretty smooth sailing. The pump is surprisingly quiet, which is nice.
  • Setting the dosing rate was a breeze. It’s got these buttons and a little display that’s easy enough to figure out.
  • I did some tests to see how accurate it was, and it seemed to be spot on. I used a graduated cylinder and timed it, just like in those high school chemistry labs.

I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and so far, so good. It’s been doing its job without any issues. I’ll probably check back in after a few months to give an update on how it’s holding up long-term. I mean, there was a time when I was looking at this dosing skid configurator for 3-D visualization, but at the end of the day, I just needed a reliable pump, and this seems to fit the bill.

Anyway, that’s my experience with the Grundfos dosing pump. Not too bad, all things considered. If you’re in the market for one, it might be worth checking out.
