Big Blue 20 Inch Water Filter 20 Micron: Is It the Right Choice for Clean Water at Home or Work?
Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this thing I did with my water filter at home. I went with the big blue, 20-inch one, and it’s supposed to catch stuff that’s 20 microns or bigger. Now, I’m no scientist, but from what I read, that’s pretty small, but not microscopic small. We’re talking about things like big pieces of dirt and stuff. Anything smaller than, like, 35 microns? Forget about it, you’re not seeing it without some fancy equipment.
I picked this big blue filter from Kind Water, ’cause I heard it was good. It’s supposed to be the real deal for getting rid of all sorts of nasty stuff in the water – you know, chemicals, pollutants, and even germs. I have a well at home and my water comes from there, not from the city. So I need something that can handle well water, and this one was supposed to be good for that.
First thing I did was give the bottom part of the filter housing a good rinse. Then I took out this rubber ring thing – they call it an O-ring – from the top of the housing and wiped it down. Just a simple, thorough cleaning.
- Rinsed the bottom of the filter housing.
- Removed and cleaned the O-ring.
They say that if you’re just dealing with regular city water, a 50-micron filter is enough to catch most of the junk. I mean, a human hair is about 70 microns, so that gives you an idea. But I wanted to be extra sure and catch some finer stuff, like chemicals or whatever might be in the well water. That is why I used a big blue 20 inch one.
Putting it all together was pretty straightforward. No major headaches, which is always a plus. Honestly, it felt good to do something myself, especially when it’s about making sure my family’s water is clean.
Result
So, after all that, I think this filter is doing its job. The water tastes better, and I feel a little more at ease knowing what we’re drinking is cleaner. I’m just a regular guy doing my best to keep things running smoothly at home. I gave this filter a solid 9.7 out of 10. It’s a good size for any house, and it seems like it’s really making a difference for us.
I found out that I am a person who enjoys sharing my experiences. You know, if my little experiment can help someone else, that’s great. It’s like, we’re all in this together, right? Just trying to make our homes a little better, one step at a time. I found that this is also something I enjoy doing, so, you might see me posting more about this kind of stuff in the future.
Next time, if I change another filter, I will record it again! See you next time. Bye!
