Big Blue Water Filter System: What Is It and Why Do You Need One?

Okay, let’s talk about this big blue water filter system I messed with. So, I needed a solid water filter for my place, and you know, clean water is a must, right? I did some digging and decided to go with one of these Big Blue filter setups. They’re supposed to be pretty heavy-duty, good for the whole house, not just a single tap.

First, I got the thing. It’s a big blue housing, looks tough, made of some heavy-duty material. I figured, “This is going to last.” It’s not just a small filter you stick under the sink, this one is meant to handle all the water coming into the house, which is what I wanted. I wanted to make the water taste better.

Next, I had to install it. I put it where the main water line comes into the house, the so-called “point of entry.” They say it’s good for homes and even businesses, places where you need a lot of water filtered. This thing is bigger than those standard filters, so it’s supposed to handle a lot more water flow. I wanted it to deal with our water because our area water is not always clear, and, you know, I want that water to be healthier for drinking, cooking, showering, all of it.

So, how does it work? I’m no expert, but from what I gathered, it’s a two-step thing. First, the water goes through this big filter, and because it’s got a lot of surface area inside, it traps a bunch of sediment and other junk. Then, there’s activated carbon in there. This stuff is like a magnet for bad stuff like lead and certain chemicals, it just sucks them right out of the water as it passes through.

My Thoughts

  • Seems to be working great! My family all agree that the water tastes better.
  • It was not easy to install but after I finished it I felt so happy.
  • I think this is a good choice for people who want to improve their whole house water.

All in all, I’m pretty satisfied with this Big Blue filter. It seems like a solid choice if you’re serious about getting clean water throughout your whole house. It’s definitely an upgrade from those little filters. And I hope this sharing will help you.
