Cheap Pentair Big Blue Water Filter Cartridge: Get Yours Today!
Okay, so the other day I was looking at my water, and I thought, “This ain’t right.” It just didn’t taste clean, you know? And it had this weird smell. So I decided it was time to do something about it. That’s when I started looking into water filters. After digging around a bit, I landed on the Pentair Big Blue filter cartridges. Seemed like they were the real deal.
First off, I had to figure out which one to get. There are a few different types, like the RFC-BB, EPM-BB, and CBC-20BB. Each one does something a little different. The RFC-BB is all about that radial flow and uses granular activated carbon – sounds fancy, right? Then there’s the EPM-BB, which uses this bonded powdered activated carbon. And finally, the CBC-20BB, which is also a carbon block but seemed like it was for heavier-duty stuff.
I went with the EPM-10BB. It uses bonded powdered activated carbon, whatever that is, but it sounded good. This one’s supposed to be good for all-around use. And it’s a big boy, 10 inches. I figured this was the one for me. It says that it is designed for “whole house.” I thought it would be the best to try.
Getting it installed was the next thing. I’m no plumber, but I watched a couple of videos, and it seemed doable. I turned off the main water, drained the pipes, and got to work. Took me a while to get the old one off, and made a bit of a mess, not gonna lie. But eventually, I got the new Pentair cartridge in there.
- Turned the water back on – had to check for leaks.
- No leaks! – always a good sign.
- Ran the water for a few minutes – to flush out any loose stuff from the new filter.
After letting it run for a bit, I poured myself a glass. The difference was night and day. The water tasted so much better, and that weird smell was gone. It felt good to know I was drinking clean water now. And you know what? It wasn’t even that hard to do. Just took a little elbow grease and some patience.
So, that’s my little adventure with the Pentair Big Blue water filter cartridge. If your water’s tasting funky, I’d say give it a shot. It worked for me, and I’m no expert. Just a regular guy who wanted some clean water. It made a real difference. Now, we are all enjoying some nice, clean water!
I’ll keep using these Pentair filters. They seem to do the job just fine, and swapping them out isn’t rocket science. Good stuff, these filters.
