Choosing a Big Blue 20 Inch Water Filter: What Should You Look For? Read This Guide!

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get one of those big blue 20-inch water filters for a while now. You know, the kind that can handle a decent amount of water and really get it clean? Well, I finally decided to do it! First, I went to Best Buy to check out my options. They have tons of water filter stuff, but I was specifically looking for something big and heavy-duty.

I read some customer reviews for a 20-oz. water filter bottle they had, but that wasn’t what I was after. Some people were saying the filter on that one was a bit of a pain because it was a push-fit thing and could come off too easily. Not the vibe I’m going for. I needed something way bigger anyway, something like those filters people use for their aquariums.

Speaking of aquariums, I remembered seeing a forum post about how many fish you can put in a 20-gallon tank. That got me thinking about water volume. The general idea is 1 inch of fish per gallon, but it really depends on the kind of fish. And then someone mentioned needing a heater for a 20-gallon long aquarium if you’re keeping tropical fish. That was a bit off-topic, but it made me think about how much water these filters can handle.

I stumbled upon this info about a Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser – now that’s a mouthful! Apparently, it has a 22-ounce reservoir that can run for about 90 seconds. They were saying it was bigger than some other Waterpik models, like one that only held 18 ounces and another that held 15 ounces. This is kind of interesting.

I started looking at regular water bottles, too. People seemed pretty happy with the 32-oz. ones, especially if they had a wide mouth and were tough. A brand called BUZIO came up, and their 32-oz. bottle has a straw lid and a spout lid, which seemed handy.

Finally, after all this digging around, I found some advice about what to look for in a good water filter. It said to make sure the filter is certified by NSF International or the Water Quality Association. I guess those are the groups that check if these things actually work. Anyway, after gathering all this random info, I felt pretty good about making a decision. I went ahead and ordered a big blue 20-inch filter online, and I’m pretty stoked about it!
