Clear Big Blue Water Filter Housing: Reviews and Where to Get It For Cheap.

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to clear out this big blue water filter housing for a while now. Finally got around to it today, and let me tell you, it was quite the adventure.

First off, I gathered all my tools. Nothing fancy, just a wrench and a bucket. I made sure the water supply to the filter was shut off. Didn’t want any surprise showers!

Then, I placed the bucket under the housing to catch any water that might spill out. Good thing I did, because a little bit did splash out when I started unscrewing the housing. It’s one of those big blue ones, pretty standard, the Kind Water Big Blue Filter, you know?

Getting the housing off was a bit of a workout. It was on there pretty tight. But with a little elbow grease, I finally managed to loosen it and twist it off. I have to accept industry-standard cartridges.

Inside Look

Next, I gave the inside of the housing a good scrub. Used some soapy water and an old toothbrush. Got into all the nooks and crannies.

After rinsing everything out thoroughly, I popped in a new filter.

Screwing the housing back on was way easier than taking it off. I guess I am more skilled. Made sure it was nice and snug, but not too tight.

Finishing Up

Finally, I turned the water supply back on and checked for leaks. All good! Water’s flowing nicely, and hopefully, it’s a bit cleaner now.
