Install a Triple Big Blue Filter: Why? (Top Reasons to Get Better Water in Your House)
Alright, so let me tell you about this whole “triple big blue filter” thing I’ve been messing around with. You know, I’m always trying to find ways to make sure the water we’re using is as clean as possible. We all want that, right?
So, I heard about this triple filter setup and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, more filters have to be better, don’t they?
First, I gathered all the stuff I needed: three big blue filter housings, a bunch of different filter cartridges, some pipes, connectors, and a few tools. I laid everything out on the floor, it was like assembling a puzzle. A puzzle that hopefully makes my water super clean.
I started by connecting the first filter housing to the main water line. Easy enough, just had to screw it on. It is like you just use your hand to do it. It was a bit of a struggle getting it tight, but I managed.
- Then I popped in the first filter cartridge. This one was a sediment filter, supposed to catch all the big chunks of stuff like dirt and rust.
- Next, I connected the second filter housing to the first one. This was a bit trickier, as I had to use some extra pipes and connectors to get it all lined up.
- In the second housing, I put a carbon block filter. I read somewhere it’s good for removing chlorine and other chemicals that can make the water taste funny.
- Finally, I hooked up the third housing to the second one. More pipes, more connectors, but by this point, I was getting the hang of it.
- For the third filter, I chose a special one that’s supposed to remove heavy metals. No one wants lead in their water, am I right?
Once everything was connected, I slowly turned on the water, holding my breath, hoping I hadn’t messed anything up. No leaks! Success! The water started flowing through the filters, and I could see it changing color slightly as it went through each one.
I filled up a glass and took a sip. Honestly, it tasted…different. Cleaner, somehow. Maybe it was just in my head, but I felt good knowing that I had this triple filter system working for me.
It’s been a few weeks now, and I’ve been keeping an eye on the filters. I heard somewhere that they’ve tested like six million service lines in the last five years, and worked with a ton of water systems. So, you know, it’s not just me who’s worried about this stuff. It must be important. The sediment filter is already looking a bit dirty, which means it’s doing its job. I’ll probably have to replace it soon. The other two still look okay, but I’ll keep checking them regularly.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with my triple big blue filter experiment. It wasn’t too hard to set up, and it gives me some peace of mind about the water we’re using. Is it perfect? Probably not. But it’s definitely a step in the right direction. And hey, I learned something new in the process. Always a good thing, right?
If any of you guys are thinking about doing something similar, just be prepared to get your hands a little dirty. And make sure you do your research on the different types of filters. It’s worth it, trust me.
