Need Big Blue Water Filter Installation Instructions? Get Them Here!
Alright, so I recently decided to install a big blue water filter in my house. Let me tell you, it was quite the experience. I started by looking up some guides online. Most of them were pretty straightforward, but I still wanted to take my time and make sure I did everything right.
First off, I gathered all the stuff I needed: the big blue filter housing, the filters themselves, a wrench, and some plumbing tape. Once I had everything laid out, I went ahead and shut off the main water supply to the house. Safety first, right?
Next, I picked a spot to install the filter housing. The instructions said to find a place where the water line comes into the house. I found a good spot in my basement, near the main water line. There were marks on the housing cap labeled “IN” and “OUT”, made it pretty easy to figure out which way the water should flow. Then, I mounted the housing to the wall using the bracket that came with it. I made sure it was nice and secure so it wouldn’t move around.
After that, I unwrapped the filters and took the sump off the housing. There’s this little notch at the bottom of the sump that helps center the filter. I carefully placed the filters inside the housing, making sure they were snug and secure.
- Connect the pipes. This was the trickiest part. I connected a pipe to the inlet port and another one to the outlet port. It took some time to make sure the connections were tight.
- Double-checked all the connections. And finally, turned the main water supply back on, slowly. I checked for any leaks and, thankfully, there were none!
Once everything was connected, I slowly turned the water back on. I let it run for a few minutes to flush out any air or debris in the system. And that was it! The water was running clear, and I could already taste the difference. It wasn’t too hard to install it, but you do need to be careful and patient.
A Few Tips
Make sure you have all the right tools before you start. Oh, and don’t forget to turn off the water supply, or you’ll have a mess on your hands!
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. The water tastes so much better now, and I feel good knowing that my family is drinking cleaner water. If you’re thinking about installing one of these filters, I say go for it! Just take your time, follow the instructions, and you’ll be fine.
