NP-CB6 Filter Cartridge Change: A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Do It
Alright, guys, let me tell you about this little project I got into the other day. So, I got this water filter thing, the NP-CB6 model. It’s been doing a decent job, but I figured it was time to swap out the filter cartridge. I mean, clean water is pretty important, right?
First things first, I turned off the water supply. No need to flood the kitchen. Then, I grabbed the filter housing. It’s that big plastic thing that holds the cartridge. I unscrewed it – lefty loosey, you know the drill. Inside, there was the old cartridge, looking all grimy and used up. I pulled that sucker out. It was kinda gross, not gonna lie.
Now, here’s where I learned something. The new cartridge, it’s mainly made of this cellulose stuff. It comes from plants and is supposed to catch all the nasty particles in the water. This one’s a carbon block, meaning it’ll also take care of any weird smells and that chlorine taste. Pretty neat, huh?
Key steps I did
- Turned off the pump.
- Located and removed the old filter.
- Took out the old cartridge from the housing.
- Slid the new one in. Make sure it’s snug.
So, I took the new cartridge, a fresh NP-CB6, and slid it into the housing. Made sure it was in there nice and snug. Then, I screwed the housing back onto the filter unit. Righty tighty this time. Turned the water back on, and bam! We’re back in business.
Honestly, it wasn’t rocket science. Just a few simple steps, and now I’ve got fresh, clean water again. Anyone can do this. Trust me, if I can handle it, you can too. Just remember to change those filters regularly. Your body will thank you for it.
