Pool Filter Cartridges: Which Type Is Best for Your Pool? Find Out Now!

Alright, so the other day, I was staring at my pool, and it looked, well, kinda gross. Not the crystal clear oasis I wanted. I figured it was time to check out the filter cartridges. I mean, they’re supposed to keep the water clean, right?

First, I turned off the pool pump. Safety first, people! No one wants to mess with a running pump while messing with the filter. Then, I located the filter housing. It’s usually a big, round tank-looking thing near the pump.

I opened up the housing, which involved unscrewing some clamps and a lid. Inside, there they were – the filter cartridges. And let me tell you, they were not pretty. Full of gunk, leaves, and who knows what else. Definitely not doing their job anymore.

So I pulled them out, one by one. They were kinda heavy and slimy, so I had to be careful not to drop them or get the dirty water everywhere.

I took a good look. Some were pretty far gone. If they are too dirty, they won’t clean well. I decided to replace them with new ones.

I remembered seeing some ads about pool filters on Amazon. So I did some searching online. Finally, I found some that looked like they would fit and were a good deal. I placed an order and waited for them to arrive.

Once the new cartridges arrived, I simply put them back in the filter housing. Then, I closed everything back up, making sure the clamps were tight and secure.

Finally, I turned the pump back on. I watched as the water started flowing through the filter. It took a little while, but eventually, the pool started looking clearer and clearer.

It’s not a super exciting job, but it’s gotta be done. Now my pool is looking much better, and I can enjoy a refreshing swim without worrying about what’s floating around in the water. Just remember to check those cartridges regularly, folks! They need some love from time to time.
