Where to Buy Water Filter Cartridges Filters for Kenmore 625.384610
Okay, so I’ve been dealing with this Kenmore water filter, model 625.384610, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey.
It all started when I noticed the water from my tap was tasting a little off. You know, that chlorine taste that just ruins a good glass of water? Plus, I was seeing some sediment build-up in my kettle. Not good. So, I figured it was time to look into a water filter.
After doing a bit of digging around, I decided to go with the Kenmore 625.384610 Two-Stage Drinking Water Filter. I mean there are so many choices but my choice is still to buy this one. It seemed like a decent option, and the price wasn’t too bad.
First off, I had to make sure it was even compatible with my setup. From what I gathered, this filter works with water pressures between 30 and 100 psi. Good thing my water pressure is right in that range! I checked it by my water pressure meter. If it wasn’t, I would have been in trouble because this filter isn’t designed for anything higher than that.
Then came the fun part – finding the right filter cartridges. It turned out that the two cartridges needed to be changed separately. I found out online that you can use Pentek P5/P25 for the sediment and CBC-10 for taste and odor. These were mentioned in some old posts for a similar model, the 625.384500, but luckily, they worked for mine too. Phew! I found it on a local store.
Once I got my hands on the cartridges, I needed to figure out how to actually install them. I found the manual for the 625.384610 filter online. It was a PDF, which was handy. I’m not the best with this sort of thing, but the manual was pretty straightforward.
Changing the cartridges was a little tricky but I got there in the end. You gotta make sure everything is lined up properly, or you’ll end up with leaks. Trust me, I learned that the hard way. It’s just a couple of minutes’ work.
Result
- Better Tasting Water: The chlorine taste is gone, and the water tastes so much cleaner.
- Less Sediment: I’m not seeing nearly as much sediment build-up, which is a huge relief.
- Peace of Mind: Knowing I’m drinking cleaner water is definitely a good feeling.
All in all, I’m pretty happy with the Kenmore 625.384610 and the new filter cartridges. It was a bit of work to get everything sorted, but totally worth it for clean, good-tasting water!
