Big Blue Filter Mounting Bracket: Easy Install Guide!
Today, I am going to mess with my water filter, specifically installing a mounting bracket for the big blue filter.
First, I figured out where to put the big blue filter housing in my water system. It’s pretty straightforward since the cap has “IN” and “OUT” markings right on top. So, I got the housing and lined it up where I wanted it.
Next, I grabbed the mounting bracket. This thing is supposed to hold the filter housing in place. I placed the housing onto the bracket. The “IN” on the housing should match with the direction the water is coming from, and the “OUT” with where it’s going after it goes through the filter.
Then, I took the self-tapping screws that came with the bracket and used them to secure the housing to the bracket. Just screwed them in, making sure the housing was lined up right with the flow direction.
- The water comes in from the outside of the filter tube.
- Then, it goes through the filter.
- And finally, it comes out from the inside of the tube.
That’s pretty much it. The filter housing should last a long time. I heard someone say they only replace theirs every 4-5 years. The cartridge inside, though, that needs to be changed more often, like every 100 uses or so.
A little note
: Make sure the “IN” and “OUT” on the housing are lined up the right way. The water should flow from the outside of the filter tube to the inside.
