Description

Fiberglass tanks usually have multiple – layer structures. Firstly, there is an inner lining, a structural layer, and an outer protective layer. The inner lining, made of corrosion – resistant resin, prevents the tank wall from being eroded by the internal medium. Secondly, the structural layer uses glass fibers and their fabrics to strengthen the tank’s strength and stiffness. Finally, the outer protective layer protects the tank from external environmental erosion.

As for the working principle, the fiberglass tanks works by filling different filter materials (like resin, activated carbon, quartz sand, etc.). Thanks to the filter materials’ adsorption, interception, and sedimentation effects, large suspended particles, colloids, sediment, pigments, and other impurities in water are removed, reducing water turbidity to clarify water quality. Moreover, the filter tank can be backwashed and regenerated as required to restore the filter material’s filtering performance and extend its lifespan.

In terms of classification and composition, based on different filled filter materials, glass – fiber media filter fiberglass tanks can be classified into types like quartz sand filter tanks, activated carbon filter tanks, manganese sand filter tanks, etc. Each filter tank consists of a tank body, filter layer, inlet and outlet ports, backwash device, etc. Specifically, the tank body, made of glass – fiber – reinforced plastic, is corrosion – resistant, lightweight, and high – strength. The filter layer is filled with suitable filter materials according to filtration requirements. The inlet and outlet connect pipelines and valves for liquid entry and exit. In addition, the backwash device regularly cleans the filter layer to restore its filtration performance.
